Honey It's Dry Out There!

Here are some helpful hints to boost moisture: Raw or steamed vegetables and fresh fruits retain their water content and can help stave off the effects of aging by lending a hydrating effect to the skin.

Foods with fatty acids, like salmon, olive oil & avocados, are beneficial to the skin's moisture content. Since water can be easily flushed out, add lemon or cranberry to it, which helps the hydrating factor or water to "stick" better.

I recommends adding Glymed's Anti-Aging Exfoliant Masque to your regimen. This product features a blend of lactic, glycolic, & salicylic acid, jojoba beads & ginseng (known for it's moisturizing properties) - this mask improves skin firmness, tone, & texture. Also, Cell Protection Balm, rich in emollients and botanicals, soothes extra dry or irritated skin and chapped lips.


Do Acne Facials Really Help?

You bet they do. Treatments done about every two weeks using enzymes or peels, and proper extractions, helps your skin to clear more quickly.

Harvest Facial

Apples, pears, grapes & pumpkin are all in season and it's time to use those enzymatic fruits to dissolve away our suntanned, withered dead skin cells leftover from summer sun. Enjoy a relaxing, gentle facial with our Harvest Fruit Enzyme. Rich in vitamins A & C, this facial tightens, smooths and protects skin from free radical damage and premature aging. Perfect for all skin types and a delight to the senses.

Series Time

Now that Summer is starting to come to a close and Fall is just upon us, it is series time. Six to eight treatments are done every seven to ten days depending on your needs. The series usually implements the use of enzymes or peels. When facials are administered in this way, the results are far more dramatic and effective.

Face Reality Acne Line

We now have this fabulous new skin care system for acne-prone skin. It is affordable, effective and reliable. Our esthetician, Barbara, is a Certified Face Reality Acne Specialist. She will help you to tackle your acne head on, providing strong products with a specific regimen and a balanced approach that's not overly harsh. In-salon treatments speed the process, but most clients find their acne clears up within several months. Pretty soon, you won't remember having the heartbreak of acne anymore. Consultations are $25 and can be applied towards your first treatment.

Waxing Sonoma Style

It's summertime, which means it is time for waxing. With all that bare skin comes the desire for smoother, hair-free skin and time to shed dry winter skin. We all want to look and feel our best in swimsuits, shorts, skirts, and dresses. Waxing is still the best method to achieve that super smooth look we all desire this time of year.

What makes waxing so wonderful this time of year? Here are some of the benefits:

Waxing can last six to eight weeks, as the hair is removed at the root. This means it is not necessary to spend time shaving. Nice for those trips away from home.

Hair regrowth after waxing is often softer unlike the stubbly tip of shaved hair.

A side benefit of waxing is reduced growth. When body hair is regularly
waxed, the results are weakened roots and some diminished growth.

Body waxing produces soft, smooth skin as it exfoliates dead skin cells which allows better absorption of sunscreen and sunless tanning products. (A great time to use our Fake Bake products)

Back From The Big Show!
